Award winning singer, songwriter, Mercy Chinwo has been setting the world on fire for God with her musical talent. She began her music journey as a part of the children’s choir in her church; subsequently participating in several music competitions, winning quite a number of them.
In 2018, she released her debut studio album ‘The Cross: My Gaze’ and a second titled ‘Satisfied’ in 2020. These were widely received by audiences across the globe, earning Mercy Chinwo a top spot not just in the Nigerian Gospel music industry but also on the international scene.
The success of her albums has led to numerous awards and recognitions. Some of which include: Female African Artist of the Year, Gospel Touch Music Awards 2019, Africa Gospel Artist of the Year CLIMA Africa Award 2022 and a host of others. She has been featured on a number of gospel music projects, working with the likes of JJ Hairson, Nathaniel Bassey, Banky W, and a host of others.
Asides music, Mercy Chinwo is actively involved in humanitarian work. She alongside her husband launched the MercyisBlessed Foundation in 2023. Their work focuses on donations to the less privileged as well as youth empowerment amongst others.
On a personal note, Mercy is happily married to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa and they both reside in Lagos.
Her New EP ‘Elevated’ released under Gntnation Records is her latest body of work.
